I want you to think for yourself. Just because I know there is a God does not mean I want you to know there is a God. I simply want you to think for yourself. Don’t let religion or atheists influence the way you think. Think for yourself! My book, The Mathematics of Life, explores my extraordinary life and how I came to know God. I am just an example of critical thinking. I thought for myself. I came to the conclusion that there is a God. This book is not a message for people to become my disciples, it’s quite the opposite. I want you to think for yourself.
This phrase deserves repeating because people do not think for themselves, they only think they do. Really take the time to consider whether your beliefs came from your parents, school or religion. God has nothing to do with religion. Religion explores ways on how to believe in God. Do you see the difference? They enslave people to become mindless followers. Man is not able to become human unless they think for themselves. My book examines this in more detail; I just don’t want you to misinterpret what I am trying to say.
The difference between saying you believe rather than saying you know is -------
ReplyDeleteYou can believe anything, and many people do just that-----it is called religion.
These religions are usually harmless and very friendly and comfort many people throughout their lives.
It answers many unknown questions for them.
All you have to say is "well this is what I believe" how can you dispute this?
As long as all you say, it is a believe, it is harmless and you do not have to prove it, because it is a belief.
Now when a religion says they know, this becomes a problem.
Now there is no room for other ways of thinking, it is there way or no way.
These religions are usually the ones that create many problems in the world, they have no flexibility.
They try to push their believes on you, because they claim they know.
You just simply can not say you know without any evidence.
To say you know the Burden of prove is on you.
You must have evidence, you simply can't say you know, even if you say, for me I know, because then it is only true for you and if it is only true for you, than it becomes a believe.
Even if the whole world believes the same thing, that still does not make it a fact------it must be proven.
For thousands of years people believed the world was flat. (they did not know) but it worked for them (me).
Until someone (Galileo) one day said the world is not flat---I know it is round.
He said this a fact so the burden of prove was on him.
If he said he only believed it to be round people would have just laughed and ignored him.
When you say something as profound, that you know, it must be proved.
Then when it is proven, it becomes a fact----until then it will be a belief, and that belief will work for you.
Just because you think for yourself does not make it true, it still must be proven to become a fact.
If all it took was to think for yourself, than everyone would have their own theory, until we all think the same thing and prove it to each other and come to the same conclusion, then it becomes a fact.
